Pam lent me a wonderful little book 'Letters by a Modern Mystic' written by Frank C Laubach. The book was published in 1937 and is a compilation of excerpts from letters he wrote to his father. Laubach was a Christian Evangelical missionary...known as 'The Apostle to the Illiterates'. He developed the "Each One Teach One" literacy programme which is credited with teaching over one hundred million people to read in their own language. His work continues today through the ProLiteracy Worldwide organization he helped to establish. An excerpt from my reading this morning.
"...It seems so wonderfully true that the privilege of fellowship with God is infinitely more than any thing that God could give. When He gives Himself He is giving more than anything else in the universe."
