A DEER PASSED MY WINDOW...

Isn't this a fab photo.  Thankfully I had my camera at hand when this fella wandered past.  The heather in the vase and the 'mist over the mountains' completes this beautiful Scottish scene.

The edge of the loch is down through the garden and out the gate.  Into this loch flows the river (all seen from the gate)  Here's David doing a spot of fishing just before the river flows into the loch.

A QUIET NIGHT IN

DANCING AT THE TOP OF THE HILL

   David and Amanda dancing at the top of the hill just above Arnisdale.  I had some Scottish music on in the car - up full blast - it was Amanda's first visit to this magical place and the first visit for a number of years for David and me.  We had been travelling all day and could see it in the distance.  Although the photo's blurred, I think it captures the spirit of the day.

From our kitchen window in Arnisdale is a beautiful view not only of the 'wildlife', but of the Cuillins in Skye - if you look carefully, you can see some of the view in the window-pane.  This fella was a regular visitor to the front door each morning.  Willie who lives a couple of doors down took seven years to get this deer to come to him.  Now he comes to the village each day along with his pal Gordon.  This is Bin Laden himself looking for some warm toast.  He actually tried to get in the kitchen - tipped his head sideways to get the horns in.  I had to get the door and push him back outside!

HOME

We arrived home today after three weeks in Scotland.  Wonderful time with family and friends. Going to post (over the next few days), some of our best photos.  Good start with the thistle.  Took these photos up at Arnisdale where family of David have a croft.
