Today has not been at all pleasant with awful dust storms blowing in from the west. This photograph of the Sydney Opera House gives an idea of what it's been like over most of the east coast of Australia. With the winds behind this mess, there is also a severe risk of bushfires. Everything feels dusty - even with all the windows shut, I can feel the floor slippy with dust. So hope that this clears by Sunday when we're having a lunch in the garden for David's birthday. Forecast at the moment is for a couple of clear days and then windy again Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
